Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on 15th August 2025.

We at Tŷ Sŵn are working to make our site tyswn.com accessible to people with disabilities.

Our Commitment

We aim to meet or exceed the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as recommended by the UK Government for public sector websites and encouraged for all businesses. We want everyone who visits our website to be able to:

  • Navigate most of the site using just a keyboard.

  • Listen to most of the site using a screen reader.

  • Adjust text size and colours to suit their needs.

  • Understand our content without unnecessary jargon.

Measures We Take

  • Using clear headings, descriptive links, and simple language where possible.

  • Ensuring good colour contrast between text and background.

  • Adding alternative text for images so they can be understood by screen readers.

  • Designing the site so it works well on mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.

How Accessible Is This Website?

We know that some parts of this site may not be fully accessible:

  • Older PDF documents may not be fully compatible with assistive technologies.

  • Some embedded content (e.g., social media feeds or videos) may be outside of our direct control.

We are committed to improving these areas over time.

Feedback and Contact Information

If you find any accessibility issues or need information on this site in a different format—such as large print, audio, or braille—please contact us:

Email: lowri@tyswn.com

I'll aim to respond to all requests within 5 working days.

Enforcement

The Equality Act 2010 requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people. If you are unhappy with our response to an accessibility request, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) for further advice.
